M. J. Ivy |
Mr. Ivy is in his 18th year as a resident of Las Vegas, Nevada. A product of Kansas City and St. Louis, Missouri, respectively, Ivy understands the value of hard work and ethical business dealings. As his father would say, “I raised you to be smart and intelligent, while being a gentleman.” |
Raised in a Christian home, Ivy’s faith in Christ and the leadership taught to him by his family and later, the U.S. Air Force, gives him the backbone and fortitude to tackle racism, classism and fair play for all, with class and dignity. |
Ivy’s journalistic and public speaking abilities to speak with individuals as well as the masses was taught to him at an early age. He honed his skills in High School and College as a journalist and video content writer and editor. He became Lindenwood University’s first African-American Vice President of Student Relations and Public Address Announcer. Ivy later interned at the St. Louis Urban League. Ivy went on to become a sales executive at AT&T, Lucent Technologies and Embarq/Century Link. In 2000 Ivy formed his own public relations and political consulting firm called Ivy’s Communications Group. |
Ivy is married and has 4 children and 5 grandchildren. |
Skye Amanda – Bio |
Skye Amanda is a creative powerhouse with over 7 years of professional experience. From social media to photography to videography and other content creation, Skye Amanda helps businesses to put their best foot forward by finding what makes them shine. Her social media company Seedling to Stars LLC offers not only marketing and management, but also mentoring so businesses can feel confident with their social media whether they run it themselves or not. “Seedling to Stars – Where rooted practices can skyrocket you to success.” |

Voting Information |
As a volunteer-led association, the power to change, direct, and propel the association rests with student voting delegates. Voting delegates elect state officers and approve amendments to the Student Bylaws. |
Voting Delegates are required to attend the following meetings: |

· Nevada FBLA Annual Business Meeting and Voting Session |
Voting delegates meet on the second day of the SBLC for the Nevada FBLA Annual Business Meeting. Voting delegates will be seated in a special section. Guests are welcome to attend the Annual Business Meeting and will be seated in a separate section from voting delegates. |
Each chapter receives two State Voting Delegates to elect statewide candidates (President/Executive Vice President/Vice President of Membership) and vote on bylaws. Each chapter receives Chapter Voting Delegates who elect the Region Vice President based on chapter membership. Results of the election are announced at the conclusion of the voting sessions. Be sure that your chapter assigns the proper number of delegates to participate in the election process: |
