Raised in a Christian home, Ivy’s faith in Christ and the leadership taught to him by his family and later, the U.S. Air Force, gives him the backbone and fortitude to tackle racism, classism and fair play for all, with class and dignity.
Ivy’s journalistic and public speaking abilities to speak with individuals as well as the masses was taught to him at an early age. He honed his skills in High School and College as a journalist and video content writer and editor. He became Lindenwood University’s first African-American Vice President of Student Relations and Public Address Announcer. Ivy later interned at the St. Louis Urban League. Ivy went on to become a sales executive at AT&T, Lucent Technologies and Embarq/Century Link.
